Cooking Classes
Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes
“We’re celebrating all the chefs of Springfield,” Pasfield House Proprietor Tony Leone proclaims. In the past few years the Pasfield House has had the best local chefs prepare food for elegant affairs. The Pasfield kitchen has gotten a national reputation after being featured on the Food Network Chanel for a Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay Throwdown durign the 2007 holiday season. Now you don’t have to go to St. Louis & Chicago to attend interesting cooking classes with a variety of Chefs. The Pasfield House has invited many of Springfield’s finest Chefs to entertain at the Pasfield House Kitchen Chefs Table (see Event Calendar for specific class schedule, times and how to register).
Once LLCC introduced the cooking class program, the popularity was immediate. Pasfield House owner Tony Leone has established a companion series of cooking classes that would appeal to all types of individuals. St Louis and Chicago utilizing local chefs have become popular offerings with social and business mind-sets. The Pasfield House books chefs offering an imaginative array of presentations (hands on and demonstrations) on alternative Thursday and Friday evenings when LLCC has not scheduled a class. So you can count on every Friday night for an interesting and educational cooking class to be offered at the Pasfield House Kitchen Chef’s Table. The chef’s table class room has been constructed with a staging area for preparing and cooking right in front of an audience. Seating is arranged at variable height tables so the students have an unobstructed view. After the food is prepared, attendees feast on that day’s fine cuisine. This program will appeal to tourists and local foodies alike.
The class room kitchen has six tables with seating for 20 friends. Cooking classes generally range from 10 to 16 (maximum 20) depending on the amount of hands on participation expected. The Pasfield House Chefs Table is appealing with high-end commercial features mixed with an ambiance that has everyone observing an eclectic array of culinary bric-a-brac. The multi height tables assure everyone’s view is not obstructive. Adjacent to the Chef's Table is a wine cellar bistro lounge where guest can relax before the dinner and even be entertained by a live performer. Truly a unique experience in Springfield. The bistro atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, making the gathering a fun time together. Whether a private gathering of associates or just friends, Leone hopes the Pasfield House Kitchen Chef’s Table will be the place to celebrate good food, good friends and good times.
