Pasfield House Recipient of Honors and Awards
One of Springfield’s most distinctive, privately owed historic structures, the Pasfield House has been the recipient of many honors and awards and has been featured in various papers and magazines. Pasfield House proprietor, Tony Leone, oversaw the restoration of the 1896 former residence of George Pasfield, Jr. , after acquiring it in 1996; the Georgian Classic-Revival Mansion underwent a total renovation becoming a modern facility beneath its historic exterior.

Besides having one of Springfield’s most distinctive Architectual styles, the Pasfield House is often recognized and has received commendation for its interior design. The Guesters, an international society that... presented Leone an recognition award of accomidation. The national convention in Chicago even brought a group to visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum making sure that its group dinner and discussion was held at there.
In September of 2006 PBS TV station WSEC taped its critical-acclaimed Illinois Stories on the Pasfield House. The broadcast first aired September 28, 2006 and was latter broadcast in early 2007 as one of the series’ most popular segments in conjunction with the stations 2007 fund raising drive. WUIS Public Radio has allowed its artists to create an introduction and closing for the re-broadcast of the Pasfield House Illinois Story. This is one example of how local media have worked in harmony to promote Pasfield House Pride.
